The Christian Hot Rod Association is a group of men, women and families that are dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to people that happen to be involved with the sport of automobiles.
We are people that come from all walks of life – different professions, and different backgrounds as well as different denominations of faith. We as Christians want to share the Love and Joy of our precious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the summer of 1993, the current President of the Original CHRA in Kentucky, Scott Higgs, was called by the Lord to start this Association. For the next two years Scott believes that the Lord was truly testing his motives for starting the organization to insure that it would glorify Jesus Christ and not the cars. CHRA officially began in August of 1995.
At the first meeting with some close friends, the Lord laid on their hearts the mission of our association – Luke 14:23, “And the Lord said unto the servant, go out unto the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
An 8 year member himself Marty Higbee moved to Florida in the Tampa Bay Area and the Lord called him to start a Florida Chapter CHRA and we held our first meeting in October of 2008 with 9 in attendance.
We all have two things in common, always first is our love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Second is our love of the automobile. Our mission is and always will be to share the gospel with everyone that will listen. We, through the blessings of Christ, have been able to do just that wherever we go.
We pray that God will restore your life through Jesus Christ as we restore our cars with the help of our Lord and Savior.
